What a fantastic day at STEMtacular in Ballinamore! 🌟 We are so proud of our pupils who confidently presented their STEM projects to the judges and even to the TG4 Cúla4 team. Our school was full of delicious smells yesterday as the children enjoyed making pancakes! 🥞This fun activity was also a wonderful learning experience. The pupils put their mathematical skills to great use by weighing ingredients, measuring carefully, and using fractions to adjust and increase the batch sizes — real-life maths in action. The Junior and Middle rooms also showed off great pancake tossing skills!! Bhí an Ghaeilge le cloisteáil timpeall an tseomra freisin 😊“An bhfuil pancóg uait?” – Would you like a pancake? in the senior room, toppings were requested as Gaeilge, with the children confidently using their cúpla focal.Of course, the tasting was easily the highlight of the day … and by all accounts, the pancakes passed the test! 😄A lovely blend of maths, language, and plenty of smiles. 🚜 Farm Safety Week at St. Patrick’s NS, Corlough 🚜We had a fantastic and engaging ‘Farm Safety’ themed monthly meet-up this week. Rialtas na nÓg did an excellent job educating our pupils through quizzes and collaborative group work, helping to build awareness in a fun and meaningful way.The day provided a wonderful opportunity to develop oral language skills while enjoying a variety of activities including a wellie throwing competition, measuring with trundle wheels, energetic jiving lessons, and even a wellie fashion show!Most importantly, the day focused on raising awareness of farm safety and supporting a charity very close to our hearts- Embrace FARM.
